Artifact #1

My first artifact is a figure of an African Elephant. I decided to choose this because this elephant represents Africa which is the homeland to most African-Americans.

Social Issues

 For my first social issue, I decided to talk about gas prices in Los Angeles. Why did I want to talk about this? I wanted to talk about this because gas prices are ridiculous. Most people will ask me, “Why do you even care?” I say, because I can drive and I have to pay for my own gas. This is not just an issue to me, but it is an issue to everyone else who pays for their gas.

One of my heroes is the great MLK. I agree with MLK because most people who join gangs are people who are either confused or have nothing else in their life to do. Gang violence is an issue to me because gangs put people at risk and it tears people apart from each other.

EAR - LISTEN

 

Weezer & Ludo

A year and a half ago, I started to have a passion for rock music. Now... I am a rockaholic. I know and heard of many bands and pretty much love all of them. However, my two favorite bands are Weezer and Ludo.
HEART - PASSION

 

 

I have a passion for my family, family friends, friends, and my favorite sports teams. I am a huge sports fan of Boston teams. I love the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Celtics. Yes, I am from LA, but I was born in Boston, MA, so don't say I'm a bandwagoner.
EYES - SEE

 

In the summer, I saw two great movies in theatres. One was Batman: The Dark Knight. Awesome movie! My other movie was Get Smart. This movie had me laughing at times when I wasn't even in the theatre.

FEET - PLACES

 

There are three places that I've been to within the last month.(July ‘08) I've been to Phoenix, AZ, The Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. If you think that LA is hot in the summer, guess again and take a trip to any of these places. It's humid! It was a lot of fun to be at these three places anyways.
