This picture was taken on my second birthday. I'm in the black shirt and my older brother is in the white shirt. The kids around me are my "cousins." At that time I was just living in the moment and I don't think I found anything really important other than family.
This is the only thing I have from my grandma in the Philippines, which is why it is important to me and also why I chose to share it.
I'm Filipino which is why I chose to post a picture of Philippine flags. It represents my nationality and cultural background. This part of my identity is important to me because it's who I am. I can't change who I am and I'm proud that I'm Filipino.
I chose the picture of a cross because I'm Catholic and it represents my religion. I can't say I'm always listening in church but I do find it important for me to go and be a part of my religion.
One social issue I think is important is drug abuse. The picture on the left is just an image of drugs to show what some people abuse. This issue is important to me because drugs are around everywhere. They affect a lot of people's lives because when they become addicted, their lives just crash because they're always spending money trying to get drugs.
Another social issue i think is important is homelessness and poverty. The picture on the right shows a homeless person on the street. I chose this issue because in LA there are lots of homeless people living in the streets. It's also important to me because more people may become homeless now that gas prices are going up and minimum wages are going down. The cost of living is beginning to be too much.
HEAD - GOALS
In the future I want to become an elementary school teacher and a party DJ when I'm not teaching. If teaching doesnt work for me I'd want to be a club or radio DJ.
EARS - LISTEN
I listen to hip hop and I prefer listening to underground music rather than mainstream. KRS-One is someone who makes music I like to listen to. Visionaries, Atmosphere, and Native Guns are some groups I listen to.
HANDS - DO
At home when I'm not doing much, I get on my turntables and scratch. I'm a scratch DJ. A sport that I play is basketball.
HEART - PASSION
Family is the most important thing for me. I'm usually spending time with family and loved ones. My childhood was also important to me. I think kids should have the time of their lives when they're kids before school becomes really important and they grow older.
