- This is a photo of me. This photo was taken when I was 1 year old. On the day I turned 1 year of age, the most important thing to me during this time was to be able to walk. I didn’t want anyone holding me.
I chose a rosary because it represents part of my culture and what I believe in. The rosary represents a symbol of my religion and I use this rosary to pray to Virgin Mary. This is important to me because it represents part of my religion.
The second item I chose was the Mexican flag because my parents are from Mexico. The Mexican flag represents pride and people who are dedicated and united. This is part of my identity because it’s part of my life because my parents came to the U.S so I could have a better life.
To represent a social issue, I chose the immigration march. I chose this march because it was a day when all people united and let their voices be heard because they are immigrants trying to get rights. This issue is important to me because it's part of my culture and these people helped make California successful to where it is today.
A second issue I chose is the war that’s been taking so long. The war in Iraq is causing bad things to our country. This event is important to me because thanks to the war, now there is a recession and many people are without a job. The gas prices are going up and it just doesn’t seem like they are going to go down any time soon.
Well, my biggest goal right now is to graduate from high school and be the first person in my family to go to college. My career aspiration is to become a teacher and major in Special Education.
I like to listen to Hip Hop, Rap, Reaggeton, etc. I do not like hearing country music. It’s just not my taste. My favorite quote is “What goes around, comes around”. This quote means a lot because if you pause for a second and think about what it says it means a lot. I like when people say positive things about me such as “looking fly”. I know I may sound conceited but it’s called confidence.
My values are all the teachings and ways my parents have raised me and made me the person who I am today. My family is most important to me because no matter what happens in any situation, they will always be there for me.
One of my hobbies is to play football. Football is my sport. Anything that has to do with sports (football) I’m into. I’m a really active person so playing football takes up most of my energy but I can still give more. When I played at Salesian we went undefeated and we were Santa Fe league Champs.
