FAMILY
The baby in the picture is me Melissa Villalobos. This picture was taken when I was born. I think this picture is a life changing event for my parents. It was life changing for them because I was the first child of 4 siblings. They had no idea on how to take care of a baby.
I also have a picture that is meaningful to me it is a picture of my grandmother. She was so important to me because she was like another mom to me. When she past away on 1-03-02 it was a shock to my entire family.
CULTURE
In the picture is my dad,tio,and my nino because that day was an important event in my culture. I was graduating from church. I was doing my first communion. In my culture I had to go to church and learn the prayers and study. I had to do that because I needed to do that to do my Quinceanera.
I also have a picture of a family reunion which is important to me because in my culture we are suppose to get together at least once a year. I chose this picture because family is important to me.
SOCIETY
A social issue that is important to me is gang violence. This issue is important to me because my grandpa is in jail because of gang violence. With gang violence many innocent kids get killed for no reason, for just looking like a gangster.
Another issue that is important to me is pollution. It’s important to me because everyday when I go to school I see the same thing, trash on the floor. We, the people, have to take care of the earth not destroy it because we only get one earth.
HEAD - GOALS
I have a picture of my 5th grade graduation. I want to finish high school and go to college as well. If my goal comes true I will be the first in my family to finish high school and the first to go to college.
EYES- SEE
I have this picture of my favorite movie called QUINCEANERA. I love this movie so much because the girl in the movie is somewhat like me. I also like this movie because she is strong and determined just like me.
FEET- TRAVEL
The picture is of me and my little brother. I love to travel to new places. This picture was taken at my favorite place ever at Knott's Berry Farm. I’ve liked this place ever since I was little because someone who is very special to me took me there, my grandpa. I hope to travel to France and Rome and the whole world if I could.
HEART - PASSION
I have this picture of my cousin, my best friend, and myself because family and friends are important to me. Without them I have nothing. They brighten up my day. I know that they have so much love for me and they will do anything for me.
