THE PLATE
- This plate represents the community of LA. It represents the tourism of not only the community of L.A. but of the other places of California, such as San Francisco.

Global warming is an international issue that affects everyone. The reason I chose this image is because even though many organizations and people are trying to do something about it, like recycling and changing light bulbs, that is not enough. That is not enough because not enough people are doing anything about it. That worries me because we might not suffer the consequences but our future generations will and eventually there will be no earth. |

MY SISTER
- That picture of my sister is back in Honduras when she turned two. It is really special to me because it was some of the few years we spent in Honduras and with our grandma.

WASHINGTON D.C.
- In the picture I am with three of my best friends. Cynthia on the left end, Monica, me, and on the right end Karen. There we were at some monuments in D.C. This picture represents the friendship I have with my friends and tourism because I love to travel.

IMMIGRATION
- Immigration is something that hits my home. Not only mine but many others also. It is not fair that they treat immigrant people unequally because many are just trying to do well and grow, as in being good economically (the American dream) and being honest. Many people have to see their family members being deported. This destroys and pulls apart parents from their children. And in the end, the children have to pay the consequences because either they have to leave with their parents or be taken to foster homes. The man in the picture is my uncle and he was deported last year with his wife and kids. That is why I chose immigration.

My I-pod represents not only how much I enjoy listening to music but also my Honduran music. The type of music is called "Punta" and has its special way of dancing it.

FEET - THE NOTEBOOK
- This notebook comes back from Honduras. I was in first grade. It has some of my first writing words. It’s special to me because my grandma used to help me with my homework. I’ve had it since I was 6 years old.

HAND - THE KNIFE
- This knife is really significant because it represents my family and culture. My culture does quinceaneras and the knife represents it because it is something I used in my sweet fifteen. Like the knife, I have many other things that I used and still have from that special day when a young girl turns into a woman.
