Ear- Things I like to hear
Chris Brown
It’s not a bird, not a plane
It’s my heart and it’s going gone away
My only weakness is you, only reason is you
Every minute with you I feel like I can do anything
Going, going I'm gone away! Love! |
I like to listen to music that gets me into it. Chris Brown has music that gets to the heart and it’s all about love. Nowadays you hear more about violence in music and not many artists talk about love.

Heart- My values

|
This is a ring given to me by my mother at the age of nine. For me this is a ring that represents strength. It was given to me in a time when my family was going through difficulties. My mother said to me that our family was strong and could and will always overcome things.

My Family and Childhood

|
This is a picture of myself and my sisters, sitting at top is me at the age of 5. From left to right is my sister, Alba, at the age of 4, she follows me. Then its the oldest sister Karla at the age of 7 and the baby Brenda at the age of 3. My sisters and I have always been more than sisters; we've been friends. I 've been told by old friends of the family that we are the craziest little girls that they have ever meet. I love my childhood and I love my sisters. As we get older and as we mature we realize that we have been gifted to have each other and can always come back and look at our childhood pictures and say that we are cool.

My Culture and Community

|
My community is LaFayette Park. I try to participate by cleaning the park and helping kids in community activities. My parents are from Guatemala and Honduras. Even though I was born in the United States, this is the culture that I was raised in and where my values come from.

My Social Issues

|
Two things that I am passionate about are immigration raids. This is a big issue. It does not only affect one person but the people who are around them too. The government needs to know that by deporting immigrant families, they are being harmed not only economically but emotionally. What we need and what these hard working immigrants deserve is an Immigration Reform Act.
My second issue is gang violence. They are messing up our communities and influencing the younger generations into the wrong paths. We need to find a way to take these gangsters from doing crime and getting them to turn their life around for their protection and our communities
