This is a baby picture of me when I was six months old. I did this in a photo shoot. The only reason I was smiling was because the guy behind the camera held up a puppet that made a funny noise. My parents said that I did not like getting dressed up to take the picture.

This is wooden sculpture of an African man and an African women with long necks. The man has his head on top of the women's head. My father got this at the African Market Place a long time ago, before I was born. The wood is scratched up in some places. This represents my ethnicity because it is a African American woman and man that are close, and that's how I am with my famiky.

One of the social issues that is happening is the gas prices being raised and then dropped. I chose to represent this issue because it is ridiculous that our gas prices are being raised from 99 cents to 4 dollars and 11 cents, and it has dropped but will be raised in about a week or two.

HAND-DO

I love graffiti and I would like to study it someday. This piece says my name. It was done with paint and pastels. This is important to me because I got this when I was 9 and I hang it up on my wall and try to do similar drawings. Every time I do art I get ideas from my other pieces.

HEAD-GOALS

This is my miniature fashion studio and it has everything that you need to make a dress. I got this for Christmas when I was 10. It has been my dream to be a fashion designer. I would love to be famous just by my clothes that I design.

HEART-PASSIONS

This is the "teddy dog" that my friends and family signed when I was first born. It is important to me because it is very old and I have had it since 1996. It is so old that the writing from the pen has almost rubbed off to a point where you can't see it anymore.
