Component #1: Art Discussion
Students become ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS as they view, analyze and discuss social commentary art, such as the piece, seen here. Youth share what they think about the issues reflected both in the art and in their own lives.

“Is this an accurate depiction of how society and the corporate world looks today?  Why or why not?”


Component #2: Art Planning/Art-Making
Students become ARTISTS, as they select social issues they are concerned about, and create their own works of social commentary art that reflect their views on those issues.

Component #3: Project Share-Out
Students become TEACHERS, as they present their works of social commentary art and think about how they, as individuals, can becomes agents of change.

Component #4: Writing to Make a Difference
Students become AGENTS of CHANGE, as they write their legislators, sharing their views about pending legislation that relates to issues raised by their art projects.
